DESCRIPTION
Shift Leaders exemplify core values and standards within their store; they lead by example and work alongside all
team members to execute successful daily operations. Shift Leaders provide tactical support by overseeing opening, closing and transitions duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Manages and participates in opening, closing and shift transition functions; ability to perform duties of hourly positions as needed (i.e. chopper, assembler, food prepper, cashier, delivery expo, etc)

Maintains standards of quality assurance by managing the line check process, guest satisfaction and store cleanliness (POV); initiating actions of improvement when needed

Reinforces high hospitality standards and provide corrective feedback to staff on standards as needed
-
Continuously ensures team properly executes food safety and workplace safety SOPs
-
Builds rapport with guests and team members to drive customer loyalty and employee morale
-
Ensures communication boards are up to date, manages attendance tracker and communicates employee performance issues to senior management/sits in on performance conversations

Responsible for receiving orders and completing temperature / sanitization logs

Performs all POS managerial functions and runs end day reports (sales/labor) as needed

Executes cash handling duties such as conducting safe counts, assigning and counting drawers; processing delivery tips
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Certification in all hourly operational Chopt positions
-
Serve Safe certification
-
Department of Health and Hygiene Food Handlers Certificate completion
SOFT SKILLS:
-
Basic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written

Able to build rapport with customers and employees

Able to adapt to fast-changing priorities with a sense of urgency
HARD SKILLS:
-
Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel

Managerial understanding of Point of Sales (POS) functions

Possess basic mathematical and quantitative skills in order to execute cash drawer management duties including and the ability to conduct safe counts

Understands and reinforces food safety, sanitation and workplace safety policies
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK CONDITIONS:
-
Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
-
Standing, stooping, kneeling, walking, wiping, reaching, bending and lifting are required actions throughout a shift

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed throughout shift
-
Availability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays
