Responsibilities:

  • Prepares all food products in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Recipe Manual and Recipe Cards
    while utilizing predetermined safety and sanitary procedures

  • Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld at all times

  • Portioning out foods in designated amounts

  • Utilizing knives and performing food prep in a safe and efficient manner

  • Executing cooking techniques including grilling, baking, and sautéing

  • Working in a team environment and ensuring all of the daily prep is completed in a timely manner

  • Operates all station preparatory equipment in a safe and sanitary manner (i.e., knives, steam cooker, oven, slicers etc.)

  • Correctly maintains all displayed steam table items according to Recipe Manual and Product Cards while maintaining local health requirements

  • Correctly rotates all new and prepared products in a FIFO (first-in, first-out) manner

  • Assists other team members when required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prior high volume production/prep cooking experience preferred

  • Must have considerable knowledge of cooking methods and food preparation procedures

  • Ability to lift food trays and boxes up to 50 lbs

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Must understand and execute food safety and sanitation protocols

  • Standing, stooping, kneeling, walking , wiping, reaching, bending and lifting are required actions throughout a shift

  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities during the shift

  • Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices as well as the correct set up, break down and cleaning protocols of kitchen equipment

  • Follows established food safety time and temperature controls and cost control systems, including employee food policy and waste guidelines

  • Responsible for the proper use of equipment, gloves, utensils and portion size of each item, temperature of hot food/cold food and the attractive presentation of all food

  • Ability to serve customers with greeting and enhancing sales through suggestions to customers

Work Conditions/Hours:

  • Hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings or overnights, weekends and/or holidays

  • All employees will be hired on a variable hour basis. Hours are scheduled based on performance and business necessities.
